There is this “5 Day B&W Challenge” going on on Facebook (FB). Don’t know who has originated it. I am even not sure if I know all the rules. I think someone will challenge you, and if you accept it you have to post 5 consecutive day, newly taken black and white images every day, and each day you challenge someone.
I was enjoying looking at my friends pictures on Facebook who accepted the challenge, and happy that no one challenged me.
One day I was at the B&H Event Space. It was Nov 10, 2014 and I was challenged by Sandra Carrion, creator of the popular International Krappy Kamera Competition and Exhibition held annually at Soho Photo in Manhattan. Well, I accepted it, and started next day! Since it wasn’t on FB, I did not challenge anyone.
Here is my “5 Day B&W Challenge” journey.
Day 1: 11/11/2014
I went to a Starbucks store to get coffee, and saw two young ladies with masks on. I took a picture. Later asked them why masks? They said that they were dancers who were on a brake.

Day 2: 11/12/2014
I was at a closing reception of a photo exhibition. And there was life music performance. Some people sat on the stairs .

Day3: 11/13/2014
Another reception. Since I have been working on “ waiters and waitresses” series this image caught my attention.

The New York Public Library was lit for a special event, a party, and looked so beautiful.

Day 5: 11/16/2014
Unfortunately I missed one day, so this image was taken on Nov 16, 2014. Inside of the “Uniqlo” store on Fifth Avenue. I called this image “image with layers”.
