17 March 2017—
The New York City St. Patrick’s Day, on Friday March 17, was a cold day, the crisp wind made it even colder.
Despite the cold the 256th NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade brought people from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and perhaps even from more States to 5th Ave, to march or to watch the marchers.
The parade started at 11:00 am from 44th street and ended 79th Street.

I decided to go to 57th Street, where Trump Tower is. When I arrived there it was about 11:15am. I asked a police officer if Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill passed.
“Yes, they did already!” he said.
“Can I catch them, if I walk fast?”
“No, they were walking very fast,” he answered.
So, I missed them, stayed at 57th Street.
Scenes from the parade.
Despite the wind marchers walked on Fifth Avenue Friday for the 256th New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
I saw three men posing in front of Trump Tower in their green T-shirt, couldn’t get the picture, but I caught them on 57th Street.
Here is a close up of the image on the T-shirt.
There were a lot of pipe bands, pipes & drums and high school bands at the parade.
Different marchers walked very elegantly on Fifth Avenue at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Children in their St. Patrick’s Day outfit were having fun watching the parade.
